Hey everyone,

Something a little different in this post as there have been a lot of new readers recently.

The main point of this article is simple, I want to know what you want to read.

Do you want me to write more about racing? Hear about epic adventures? Shall I lift the lid on more BTS of running a privateer set-up? Do you want more finances? Shall I interview other people? What about doing special ‘features’ articles that you’d normally read in a magazine? Do you want ‘How to’ tips? Advice on sponsorship?

If we’re best mates, have never spoken or what - any thoughts or opinions whatsoever please shout.

A bit more of a brain dump for you all.

I’m thinking of what else can I do. I love writing, especially in this conversational style. The problem these days, however, is writing isn’t cool. Video and audio rule the roost.

I’ve had an idea in my brain for a while about turning what I write here into a podcast too. A mixture of ‘Privateer Diaries’, interviews, and a bit of BTS to life on the road.

Is that something you’d listen to, or is it a bit too saturated?

If you would listen to it, again, what are you interested in?

Thanks for reading this. The numbers in this Substack have gradually been ticking up and almost every article gets 1.25-2.5k views. I sometimes forget that people read this. A thousand people aren’t many in the whole Instagram followers world, but when I picture one thousand or more sitting at home reading my words, I can’t quite imagine it. So, thank you.

Lying on the rug in my living room is where 95% of my work, writing and season planning happens in Girona.

I’ve tried to stay as honest as possible. To date, there has only been one article that I’ve been stopped from putting out. I’m hoping that I can talk a little more on that, and more in the future though.

I hope my writing never sounds like I’m whining. I’m very much aware that I’m living the dream. It’s just, the dream isn’t always as dreamy as it seems from Instagram!!
