Agree about the Rockets - they have a carefree vibe that is fun to follow. Hope it lasts though as their visibility and competitiveness grows. The way team tactics are creeping into gravel racing it may not be long before you can combine both? Pretty sure you were in a feed zone shot in Alexy’s post Unbound video BTW.
I agree Neil. I believe any team that's taking fan engagement seriously should race gravel. I for one would love to say a WT team turn up with 6 guys to Unbound.
Joe gotta disagree on teams. While an underdog Ribble like team challenging the big dogs would be fascinating I hate to think of UAE showing up with Tadej en-masse. I can see it now where they get in formation at the first feed, ride everyone off the wheel while Pog motors on with his escorts to provide wheel swaps. Lifetime is going to have to address this imminently (PAS Normal is nearly there now) and the F1 feed stops are insane. IMO if anything ala teams a three rider max and NO wheel / equipment sharing. The rider against the elements is what makes gravel unique. Think about Lachy’s win last year - if he had done that as part of an EF flotilla would it have been as well loved?
I have a draft in my substack with a paragraph about it 🙈
This was a great read. I really like this idea and will be a fan of such a team. I actually think this is a good model to follow. I dare to say it might even be the direction that the sport is going towards.
Let’s do it
My people gotta talk to your people.

That’s the beauty of opinions I guess! I’d kinda love to see Tadej and train rock up. I think it’d bring another sense of legitimacy to the sport.
